Uniqueness
Most shotguns are rugged by nature because of their intended use, and highly functional, but none are semi-automatic and under 29 inches. The Tokarev has both!! It is a 12-gauge, semi-automatic shotgun, feed by a magazine that comes with a 5-shell magazine, but 10 and 20 shell magazines are available, and has an 18.5-inch barrel.
It also has picatinny rails on the receiver and under the forearm that allows one to customize the gun to suit your use such as red dots, flashlight, or laser sight.
It does come with flip up peep sights.

Test Firing
I have test fired mine. First at paper bleed targets at about 20 yards with the full chocked installed to see the pattern. Then at gallon jugs filled with colored water just to watch them explode, and that they did.
Conclusion
The Tokarev BP12 is more than worth the money. Its main purpose is for self- defense/home defense. Can be used for trap shooting as well. It is highly customizable and definitely a ton of fun!!! I posted a video of the test firing on my YouTube channel soon.
