The short answer is “YES”.

Even though you legally own and carry a firearm and have to draw and use that firearm in self-defense, you can be arrested and charged with a crime.  In the event this worst-case scenario does happen, and eventually gets dropped by the local DA or in a court of law, a financial damage to you has been done.  Jail time, bail, loss of wages, attorney fees, etc., can all occur.

United States Conceal and Carry Association.  The USCCA helps responsible Americans like you prepare for what happens before, during and after an act of lawful self-defense.  In addition to offering education and training, the USCCA has purchased an insurance policy that provides the association and its members with self-defense liability insurance.  This also includes representation by an attorney.
